FreelanceFrom New YorkMy time :

Hi, I'm Simon Graham Creative developer

I build websites that feel less like products and more like places. For the past eight years I've worked with studios and founders who sweat the details most people never notice — the easing on a hover, the weight of a headline.

About

My work lives on the seam between design and engineering, where an idea stops being a static mockup and starts responding to touch. I care about typography that holds its own, motion that actually means something, and interfaces that stay fast under real conditions. Every project starts with a conversation about what you're trying to say then I make the web say it clearly, without the usual noise. Based in New York, working with anyone, anywhere.

Testimonial 1 / 3

  • “Simon is the rare developer who argues with your designer and your engineer — and is usually right on both counts. He shipped our dashboard two weeks early and it's still the fastest thing we own.”

    Marcus Brenner,CTO, Halcyon Labs

  • “We came for a website and left with a brand we could actually defend in a boardroom. Six months on, our sales team still opens with the positioning line he wrote for us.”

Priya Nandakumar,Head of Brand, Meridian Capital

  • “He asked better questions in the first hour than our last agency managed in three months. The foundry finally looks like the thing we had been telling people it was.”

    Tomás Vidal,Founder, Ardent Type

WHAT I CAN HELP WITH

  • Brand Strategy

  • Website Strategy

  • Website Design

  • Creative Coding

My Process

  1. Step 01

    Conversation

Before any pixels, we talk. What are you actually trying to say, who needs to hear it, and what's gone wrong with past attempts. Most projects are won or lost in this first hour.

  2. Step 02

    Direction

I come back with a point of view — typography, motion, structure — not ten safe options. One strong direction we sharpen together beats a mood board you have to referee.

  3. Step 03

    Build

Design and code happen in the same hands, so nothing gets lost in a handoff. You see real, interactive work early and often, running fast on real devices — not static mockups.

  4. Step 04

    Launch & Beyond

We ship, measure, and refine. I stay reachable after go-live because the version that's live for six months matters more than the one that looked good in the pitch.

FAQ

Here's what you need to consider before partnering with us

Do you work with clients outside New York?
Most of them are. The work happens over calls and shared links either way, so the only thing your timezone changes is when we talk. I keep a few hours of overlap with every client, wherever they are.
How long does a project take?
A focused marketing site runs three to five weeks. A product interface or design system takes longer. I'll give you a real timeline after our first conversation, not a number pulled from the air.
What does it cost?
Projects are priced as a fixed scope, not an hourly rate — you know the number before we start and it doesn't move unless the scope does. Most sites land in the five figures.
Do you design and build, or just design?
Both, in the same hands. That's the point — nothing gets lost in a handoff, and what you approve is what ships, because the thing you approved was already running in a browser.
What do you need from me to get started?
An hour of your time and an honest account of what's not working. Copy, photography and brand assets are useful if you have them, but not having them is a scope question rather than a blocker.
What happens after launch?
We measure, refine, and I stay reachable. The version that's live in six months matters more than the one that looked good in the pitch, so I'd rather be around for it.
